“Anyone who helps with the washing up can’t be all bad.”
Satanic Panic comes to the Hammer House of Horror in episode 10: ‘Guardian of the Abyss’, which stars Ray Lonnen (‘Harry’s Game’), Rosalyn Landor (‘The Devil Rides Out’) and Paul Darrow (‘Die Another Day’).
Charming antique exporter Michael (Lonnen) picks up a scrying glass at an antiques fair and Allison (Landor), a young woman fleeing a fate as the next sacrifice of devil worshippers led by an evil hypnotist (Darrow), soon after. The cult will do anything to get Allison and the glass back so they can complete a ritual that even Aleister Crowley nearly lost his mind trying, but can Michael’s courage and charisma keep both from their clutches?
The genteel world of antiquing becomes a life or death battle in another excellent episode full of creepy performances, sinister intentions and mind control that leads to a chilling finale.
