The Peters family move into a nice fixer-upper that would be a bargain if it wasn’t for walls that drip blood and it trying to kill them every five minutes. Recently vacated by a man who chopped his wife up into little pieces, the Peters’ have closed escrow on a suburban nightmare in a standout ep of ‘Hammer House of Horror’ that features a terrific and traumatising children's birthday party setpiece and an absolutely killer ending.
Bizarrely, ‘The House That Bled To Death’ is the sole screenwriting credit of famous British 70s tennis player turned gym magnate David Lloyd. It is directed by Tom Clegg, who made the Roger Daltrey from ‘The Who’ prison flick ‘McVicar’, and stars Nicholas Ball from ‘Lifeforce’ alongside Rachel Davies - who played an astronaut turned vampire in an arc of Tom Baker's ‘Doctor Who’.
